New York — greatest city in the world, baby! The Big Apple has everything: streets that smell like pee, apartments that haven’t been updated since 1986 that still cost $3,000 a month, and of course, a host of entertainment that can be found right on your doorstep.

I’m not referring to the theaters of Broadway here. I’m talking about Broadway itself, along with the many avenues that criss-cross through NYC, upon which gripping stories can be experienced every day. Take, for example, this recent video showing someone undergoing an exorcism, all taking place right next to Times Square.

The video shows a woman screaming at a man, who is telling the spirit apparently possessing her that he “commands [it] to leave her right now.” While he does so, someone holding a cell phone is filming the woman about four inches from her face. The TikToker later posted another video showing more of the incident.

Pretty spooky!

So, the big question — is this exorcism real? Obviously not. Exorcisms aren’t real. You’re an adult, you should know this. But is this woman pretending to be possessed for the camera, or is she genuinely facing a mental-health issue that someone is trying to solve by screaming the word of God at her outside of a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.?

For now at least, the power of the spirit commands that we not know.
